De: Plötzlich bemerkte er, dass er sich verlaufen hatte.
En: Suddenly he realized that he was lost.

De: Verängstigt sah er sich um und merkte, dass er in einem Bierzelt gelandet war, das er noch nie zuvor gesehen hatte.
En: Frightened, he looked around and realized he had landed in a beer tent he had never seen before.

De: Franz stand unsicher auf und schlurfte in dem Zelt herum.
En: Franz got up unsteadily and shuffled around in the tent.

De: Schließlich fand er einen passenden Platz neben einem Mann, der eine Tuba spielte.
En: Eventually he found a suitable seat next to a man playing a tuba.

De: Franz hatte so etwas noch nie gesehen und fand es sehr interessant.
En: Franz had never seen anything like it and found it very interesting.

De: Als die Musik begann, wusste Franz nicht, was er tun sollte.
En: When the music started, Franz didn't know what to do.

De: Er sah sich um und bemerkte, dass er in der Oompah-Band-Sektion gelandet war, und dass niemand in der Nähe war.
En: He looked around and realized that he had landed in the Oompah Band section and that no one was around.

De: Da sah er die Tuba neben sich.
En: Then he saw the tuba next to him.

De: Ohne viel nachzudenken, hob Franz das Instrument und fing an zu spielen.
En: Without thinking much, Franz picked up the instrument and started playing.

De: Es klang nicht gut und er wusste kaum, was er tat.
En: It didn't sound good and he hardly knew what he was doing.

De: Doch er merkte schnell, dass es Spaß machte.
En: But he quickly realized that it was fun.

De: Die Menschen tanzten und lachten und Franz fühlte sich, als könnte er das alles immer wieder tun.
En: People danced and laughed and Franz felt like he could do it all over again.

De: Das Fest endete und Franz war traurig.
En: The party ended and Franz was sad.

De: Aber er hatte eine Idee.
En: But he had an idea.

De: Er würde eine Tuba kaufen und für immer in der Oompah-Band spielen.
En: He would buy a tuba and play in the Oompah band forever.

De: Also nahm er seinen Mut zusammen und fragte die Band, ob er mit ihnen spielen dürfte.
En: So he plucked up courage and asked the band if he could play with them.

De: Zuerst lachten sie und sagten, dass er keine Ahnung hatte, wie man die Tuba spielte.
En: At first they laughed and said that he had no idea how to play the tuba.

De: Aber Franz gab nicht auf, und nach ein wenig Übung war er bereit, mit der Band aufzutreten.
En: But Franz didn't give up, and after a little practice he was ready to perform with the band.

De: Das Publikum war begeistert von Franz' Musik.
En: The audience was enthusiastic about Franz's music.

De: Sie tanzten und sangen und er fühlte sich, als ob er für immer in diesem Moment sein könnte.
En: They danced and sang and he felt like he could be in this moment forever.

De: Nach dem Fest wurde Franz Mitglied der Band und spielte mit ihnen für den Rest des Jahres Tuba.
En: After the festival, Franz joined the band and played tuba with them for the rest of the year.

De: Er war glücklich und das Oktoberfest würde für immer ein besonderer Ort für ihn bleiben.
En: He was happy and Oktoberfest would always be a special place for him.

De: Und so ging es weiter, Jahr für Jahr.
En: And so it went, year after year.

De: Die Band spielte die besten Lieder und Franz spielte die Tuba und alle waren glücklich.
En: The band played the best songs and Franz played the tuba and everyone was happy.

De: Die Menschen kamen aus der ganzen Welt, um sie zu hören.
En: People came from all over the world to hear her.

De: Franz hatte seine Leidenschaft gefunden und das Oktoberfest war der Ort, an dem er es alles begonnen hatte.
En: Franz had found his passion and the Oktoberfest was where he started it all.

De: Jedes Mal, wenn er spielte, wartete er auf den Schlussapplaus und wusste, dass er genau dorthin gehörte.
En: Every time he played, he waited for the final round of applause and knew he belonged right there.
