Es: exclamó María al correr hacia la televisión. Su excitación llenaba la pequeña sala de estar. Provenía de una de esas casas de tonos pastel al pie del cerro de la estrella, en Iztapalapa, México. María era una alegre mujer de mediana edad, llena de energía, a pesar de las largas horas de trabajo en el mercado.
En: exclaimed María as she ran towards the television. Her excitement filled the small living room. She came from one of those pastel-toned houses at the foot of the Cerro de la Estrella hill in Iztapalapa, Mexico. María was a cheerful middle-aged woman, full of energy, despite the long hours of work in the market.

Es: Alejandro, su vecino desde hace años y viejo amigo, sabía que si oía el nombre de María y risas al unísono, estaría relacionado con su telenovela favorita. Se conocían desde la infancia, los años habían cementado una bonita amistad entre ellos. Recogió su sombrero y se unió a María frente al aparato de televisión.
En: Alejandro, her neighbor for years and old friend, knew that if he heard María's name and laughter at the same time, it would be related to their favorite soap opera.
