Story Transcript:
Ga: Lá breá samhraidh a bhí ann agus bhí an ghrian ag taitneamh os cionn na hÉireann.
En: It was a beautiful summer day and the sun was shining over Ireland.

Ga: Ag tús an lae sin, bhí Finnegan agus Saoirse ag siúl cois farraige ag na hAillte Móire.
En: At the beginning of that day, Finnegan and Saoirse were walking by the sea at the Cliffs of Moher.

Ga: Bhí an t-aer úr agus bhí ciúnas timpeall orthu ach amháin don gaothrán a shéid trí na féarthainne.
En: The air was fresh and quiet surrounded them except for the gust of wind blowing through the grass.

Ga: “Níl mé in ann é a fháil,” arsa Saoirse go brónach, ag féachaint timpeall uirthi.
En: “I can’t find him,” said Saoirse sadly, looking around.

Ga: Bhí a peata caillte, Séimí an caora, agus bhí imní uirthi dá dheasca.
En: Her pet, Séimí the sheep, was lost, and she was worried because of it.

Ga: Ní raibh i Finnegan ach cara maith ag iarraidh cabhrú.
En: Finnegan was just a good friend trying to help.

Ga: “Ná bíodh imní ort, Saoirse.
En: “Don’t worry, Saoirse.

Ga: Gheobhaimid é,” ar sé le dóchas.
En: We will find him,” he said hopefully.

Ga: I lár a siúlóide, chonaic Finnegan rud éigin bán agus clúmhach ag in aice le himeall na n-aillte.
En: Midway through their walk, Finnegan spotted something white and fluffy by the edge of the cliffs.

Ga: “Feic!
En: “Look!

Ga: Tá Séimí ansin,” ghlaodh sé agus rinne sé ruathar i dtreo an radhairc.
En: Séimí is there,” he shouted and made a dash towards the sight.

Ga: Ach, bhí rud éigin as bealach.
En: But something was in the way.

Ga: Lean Finnegan an caora seo ar feadh na n-aillte, ag léim thar charraigeacha agus ag rith thar féar glas.
En: Finnegan followed the sheep across the cliffs, leaping over rocks and running through tall grass.

Ga: Gáirí agus screadaíl ab ea an tóir seo, ach ní raibh sé chomh furasta mar a shíl sé.
En: Laughter and screams were the pursuit, but it wasn’t as easy as he thought.

Ga: D’athraigh an caora treo go tobann agus d’fhan Finnegan ar deireadh ina dhiaidh, é anáil ghann.
En: The sheep suddenly changed direction and Finnegan lagged behind, catching his breath.

Ga: Saoirse, a bhí ar lorg i gcónaí, chuala an chonspóid agus tháinig lena cuidiú.
En: Saoirse, who had been searching, heard the commotion and came to help.

Ga: Nuair a shroich sí Finnegan, bhí an gáire uirthi.
En: When she reached Finnegan, she smiled.

Ga: “Ní hé Séimí sin,” ar sí go ciúin, “sin Sally an caora ón bhfeirm trasna na gleannta!
En: “That’s not Séimí,” she said quietly, “that’s Sally the sheep from the farm across the hills!”

Ga: “Stad Finnegan, ar éigean in ann a chreidiúint.
En: Barely able to believe it, Finnegan stopped.

Ga: Tharraing Saoirse piséog a bhí an-chosúil le Sally as a póca.
En: Saoirse pulled out a charm that looked very much like Sally from her pocket.

Ga: “Tá Séimí paiseanta faoi na piséoga seo.
En: “Séimí is enchanted by these charms.”

Ga: “Níor chreid Finnegan a chluasa.
En: Finnegan couldn’t believe his ears.

Ga: Shuigh siad síos, traochta tar éis an tóra, agus scaoil Saoirse glaoch caora leis an piséog.
En: They sat down, exhausted after the pursuit, and Saoirse released a sheep call with the charm.

Ga: Gan mhoill, leis an ngaoth ag iompar a nguth, tháinig Séimí ag rith chucu, cúteil iontach air.
En: Without delay, carried by the wind, Séimí came running, looking wonderful.

Ga: Ag deireadh an lae, bhí Saoirse, Finnegan, agus an caora Séimí ina seasamh in éineacht ar bharr na nAillte.
En: At the end of the day, Saoirse, Finnegan, and the sheep Séimí stood together at the top of the Cliffs.

Ga: D’fhoghlaimíodar faoi chairdeas agus mearbhall, agus gáire i measc an chaos.
En: They had learned about friendship and confusion, and laughter among the chaos.

Ga: Agus mar sin, i measc na n-aillte áille, ba dheas an bealach críochnú an eachtra le hamhrán, gáire, agus cuimhne maith.
En: And so, among the beautiful cliffs, it was a nice way to finish the adventure with a song, laughter, and good memories.
