Story Transcript:
En: In a small town, in an old tavern that smelled of homemade cakes and fresh coffee, sat Marko.

Sr: On je bio mladić tamnih očiju i oštro izraženih crtâ lica.
En: He was a young man with dark eyes and sharply defined facial features.

En: Marko regularly spent his afternoons listening to the soft sounds of the accordion coming from the corner of the tavern.

En: One day, Jovana appeared at the door, a girl known for her vivid laughter and cheerful spirit.

En: Her sparkling eyes and red scarf around her neck stood out as she walked past the old wooden furniture, looking for a free place to sit.

En: She smiled at the waiter Bojan, whom she already knew well, and sat at a nearby table close to Marko.

Sr: Bojan, širokog osmeha i uvek spreman za priču, donosio je šoljicu crne kafe Marku, dok je on uzbudljeno listao novine.
En: Bojan, with a wide smile and always ready to chat, brought a cup of black coffee to Marko as he excitedly flipped through the newspaper.

En: Marko’s gaze was fixed on the sports page, and he didn’t notice Jovana as she settled in.

Sr: I baš kad se osmeh vratio na Markovo lice zbog pobede njegovog omiljenog fudbalskog tima, njegov lakat je zakačio šolju.
En: Just as a smile returned to Marko’s face due to his favorite football team’s victory, his elbow knocked over the cup.

Sr: Kafa se prosula!
En: The coffee spilled!

En: The hot liquid spread over Jovana’s lap, leaving a wet mark on her light coat.

En: Marko was speechless with surprise and embarrassment, quickly getting up to help.

Marko repeated as he searched for a napkin to clean up the coffee.

En: Jovana was a little surprised by the moment of carelessness, but she didn’t want to make a scene.

En: Her smile soon prevailed, and gentle laughter mingled with the warmth of the tavern.

Sr: Nije problem, svi pravimo greške, rekla je Jovana, tražeći da ublaži Markovu nelagodnost.
En: No problem, we all make mistakes, Jovana said, trying to ease Marko’s discomfort.

Sr: Bojan je brzo pristao sa krpom i novom šoljicom kafe.
En: Bojan quickly agreed with a cloth and a new cup of coffee.

En: Here’s a fresh coffee, and this…, he said, looking at the stain on the coat, …will be good as new after washing.

En: Laughing, the three new friends continued to chat.

Sr: Kako je vreme prolazilo, smeh je ispunjavao vazduh, a Markovo spillanje kafe postalo je početak jednog divnog prijateljstva.
En: As time passed, laughter filled the air, and Marko’s coffee spill became the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Sr: Razmenjivali su priče, planirali buduće susrete i uživali u toplini kafane.
En: They exchanged stories, planned future meetings, and enjoyed the warmth of the tavern.

En: Every time they met at the tavern, they reminisced about that awkward yet fateful incident.

Sr: S vremenom, Marko je postao pažljiviji, Jovana je nosila tamnije boje, a Bojan je uvek imao spremnu rezervnu šoljicu kafe.
En: Over time, Marko became more careful, Jovana wore darker colors, and Bojan always had a spare cup of coffee ready.

En: Through small things, great friendships were formed, and the tavern remained a place where life stories intertwined into unforgettable memories.
