He: תל אביב, העיר החייה והפעילה, נחלשה למעין שנזיף אחת צהובה ונטולת חיים בתוך דוכן פלאפל שחור ועגמום. הדוכן הזה, "פלאפל דוד", היה מפגיש את צומת רחובות חבובה וביבא מימו שנפתח.
En: Tel Aviv, the lively and bustling city, weakened to a sort of yellow and lifeless slap within a black and gloomy falafel stall. This stall, "David's Falafel", met the junction of beloved streets and ancient springs.

He: אך, באותו יום, הריסת האינסטרוקצייה מנעה מצלחת הפלאפל שלו להתמלא. הלקוחות התנתקו אחד אחרי השני, מתמודדים עם הרעב והתיאוב במקום הרגיל.
En: However, on that day, the collapse of the infrastructure prevented his falafel plate from being filled. Customers disconnected one by one, grappling with hunger and dismay in the unusual place.

He: ככה נמצאים דוד ושרה, בתחילת הסיפור שלינו, בדוכן הפלאפל הזה - דוד מנער את המערב ושרה מנסה לרגש את הלקוחות, תוך כדי ניסיין לפתור את התקלה.
En: This is how David and Sarah were found, at the beginning of our story, in this falafel stall - David preventing the collapse and Sarah trying to engage the customers, while attempting to solve the issue.

He: "אנחנו לא נתפשר על פלאפל פחות טוב מזה שהיינו מכינים עד היום!", התעקש דוד, עם מברק בעין שטיפה אור על הפנים המודאגות של שרה. שרה, לעומתז ,היתה ממוקדת בתיקון: "אין לנו זמן לשבת ולאבל, עלינו להכין השארת הפלפל".
En: "We won't settle for falafel less good than what we used to prepare until today!" insisted David, with a sparkle in his eye shining a bit of light on Sarah's troubled face. Sarah, on the other hand, was focused on the fix: "We don't have time to sit and mourn, we have to prepare the rest of the falafel."

He: בתוך המרמרום שלהם למצוא פתרון, גילו שהבעיה אידאולוגית יותר ממה שחשבו: היו רק שניים מאשרים ללא תנאי את רעיונו של דוד לחפש פתרון מחדש לשארת הפלפל.
En: In their grumble to find a solution, they discovered that the problem was more ideological than they thought: only two agreed unconditionally to David's idea to search for a new solution for the falafel plate.

He: כפי שהצהריים של תל אביב הפכו לערב, עיברו ביניהם מנה הראשונה של פלאפל חדש. הראש לא היה מושלם, אך הוא היה עדיף על האפשרות השנייה של לא להשאיר ללקוחות שום פלאפל לאכול.
En: As the Tel Aviv twilight turned to evening, they passed between them the first serving of new falafel. The dish wasn't perfect, but it was preferable to the second option of leaving customers with no falafel to eat.

He: בסוף הערב, דוד קרא לאחד מהלקוחות התורנים, והניח על השיש הלבן את פלאפל שארת הפלפל החדש. "נסה את זה", הקיש מעט באצבע השנייה את הערמה הירוקה.
En: At the end of the evening, David called one of the waiting customers and placed on the white marble floor the plate of the new falafel. "Try this," he touched the green heap with his second finger.

He: נראה שהלקוח האמיץ, אף שהתלבט לפני שנגע בצלחת, הרגיש קצת בטון, אפשר להגיד, מהפלאפל. הוא הסכים להמשיך לאכול את המנה, והתחיל לסמסם קרחומים. "זה.. זה לא רע. קצת שונה, אבל טוב".
En: The brave customer, who hesitated before touching the plate, felt a bit hesitant, you could say, about the falafel. He agreed to continue eating the portion and started nodding approvingly. "This... this isn't bad. A bit different, but good."

He: דוד ושרה התביטו אחד בשני כאילו הם שמעו תזמורת סימפוניה. שמא שינו תדמיתם, אך הם ממשיכים להניע את "פלאפל דוד" עם הפלאפל החדש.
En: David and Sarah looked at each other as if they had heard a symphony orchestra. Perhaps they changed their image, but they continue to support "David's Falafel" with the new falafel.

He: רעש האינסטרוקציה כבר לא יפתיע את תל אביביים באותו מיני רעש, נחרצות ושנאה. המשבר במקום מתואר כמצע אשר אינו מתאים לכמות הלקוחות הרציניים שנמצאו שם - וזו, בסוף העניין, הייתה עובדה.
En: The noise of the infrastructure will no longer surprise the Tel Avivians with that kind of noise, determination, and hatred. The crisis in the place is described as a means that does not suit the amount of serious customers who were there - and that, in the end, was the fact.
