En: On a bright afternoon in the city of Bandung, there was a little girl named Siti.

En: She was eight years old, with wavy black hair and bright eyes.

Id: Siti sangat senang pergi ke mall bersama ibunya.
En: Siti loved going to the mall with her mother.

En: That day, Siti’s mother wanted to buy some new clothes for Siti, who was growing fast.

En: The two of them walked to the largest mall in Bandung, called Mall Kembang.

En: The mall was very big, with four floors and many shops.

En: When they arrived, Siti’s mother held her hand tightly, reminding her not to wander off.

En: As they walked past a toy store, Siti’s eyes were drawn to a cute teddy bear doll in the display window.

En: Unintentionally, she let go of her mother’s hand and walked towards the toy store.

En: Siti got so engrossed in looking at the toys that she didn’t realize her mother had walked far away, leaving her alone.

En: After a few minutes, Siti realized that her mother was not by her side.

Id: Dia mulai panik dan hatinya berdegup kencang.
En: She started to panic, and her heart was pounding.

Id: Ibu, Ibu, dimana kamu? teriaknya sambil berputar-putar mencari ibunya.
En: Mom, Mom, where are you? she shouted, spinning around looking for her mother.

Id: Namun, tidak ada jawaban.
En: But there was no response.

Id: Siti mulai berlari kesana-kemari, memanggil-manggil ibunya, tetapi ibunya tidak kunjung ditemukan.
En: Siti began to run around, calling for her mother, but she couldn’t find her anywhere.

En: A security guard who saw Siti alone and scared approached her.

Id: Hai, kecil, kamu kenapa?
En: Hey, little one, what’s wrong? Are you lost? the security guard asked gently.

Id: Siti mengangguk sambil menahan air mata.
En: Siti nodded, holding back her tears.

Id: Namaku Pak Joko, Tenang saja, saya akan membantu kamu menemukan ibumu, kata Pak Joko sambil mengambil radio komunikasi.
En: My name is Pak Joko. Don’t worry, I will help you find your mother, Pak Joko said as he took out a communication radio.

En: Pak Joko quickly contacted the information center and announced Siti’s description, asking her mother to come to the information center.

Id: Mereka berdua kemudian duduk di bench dekat pusat informasi menunggu.
En: They both sat on a bench near the information center, waiting.

En: Siti felt a little better because Pak Joko was there with her.

En: After what felt like hours to Siti, but was actually only ten minutes, her mother came running to the information center.

Id: Siti! Ibu sangat khawatir! Jangan pernah pergi sendirian lagi, kata ibunya sambil memeluk Siti dengan erat.
En: Siti! I was so worried! Never go off alone again, her mother said, hugging Siti tightly.

En: Since that day, Siti has been more careful when going to crowded places.

En: She always holds her mother’s hand and doesn’t wander off alone.

En: Siti also learned the importance of staying alert to her surroundings.

En: And of course, Pak Joko became her little hero in Mall Kembang, a place of adventure that she will never forget.
