En: Jordi was a village boy. Today was a big day for him, as he had decided to visit Barcelona and was eagerly looking forward to meeting his friends at a famous bar on La Rambla. But, if there was one thing Jordi had learned from the stories his grandmother told him, it was that a great adventure never begins without a small setback.

En: The big city was different from what he was used to. The smells were different. The edges, the houses, the narrow streets like mazes, everything was peculiar. La Rambla was a universe of people and diversity. There were artists painting, musicians playing sweet melodies, tourists applauding mimes dressed as statues… it was a constant ballet of movement and noise.

En: But Jordi had a mission. As he walked, he tried to remember the name of the bar. His grandmother had always told him he had a memory like a fish, and now it seemed she was right. Although the lush alleyways of the Barri Gòtic charmed Jordi, he got lost in its intricate design.

En: Jordi walked until he bumped into a stone wall. He looked around and realized he didn’t know where he was. A pang of anxiety hit him, but Jordi was brave. He decided to keep moving forward, armed with hope and a good dose of courage.

En: He passed through narrow streets, crossed silent squares, and even saw the shadow of a cathedral in the distance. Finally, he met a friendly sausage vendor who, upon seeing his lost expression, offered to guide him to La Rambla.

En: Now, La Rambla was different under the night lights. The atmosphere had changed; the lights twinkled like stars and the music was as gentle as the sea waves. Finally, he found the bar and reunited with his friends, who joyfully celebrated his arrival.

En: Jordi now understood that this small setback had been part of his great adventure in Barcelona. He learned that no matter how many intricate and complex alleys he had to cross, what really mattered was reaching the goal. That night, Barcelona seemed a little less overwhelming and much friendlier to him. And Jordi realized he was ready for his next adventure.

En: You see, every story has its own mazes. Sometimes you get lost, other times you find the way. But what really matters is remembering that there is no better guide than courage and the good friends waiting for you at the end of the road.
