Sl: Ana je bila na poti k znamenitemu Zmajskemu mostu, kjer je bila dogovorjena s prijateljico.

Sl: Ko je prispela na most, je njeno pozornost pritegnila skupina kipov zmajev, ki so čuvali most.
En: When she arrived at the bridge, her attention was drawn to a group of dragon statues guarding the bridge.

Sl: Med raziskovanjem kamnitih pošasti je opazila nenavadno postavo.

Sl: Moški, ki je bil popolnoma nepremičen, je stal ob ograji mostu in zrl v daljavo.

Sl: Ana se je nasmehnila in mislila, da gre za uličnega umetnika, ki posnema kip.

Sl: Pristopila je k njemu in ga pozdravila, "Zdravo, kiparska mojstrovina! Kako dolgo že stojiš tukaj?"
En: She approached him and greeted, "Hello, masterpiece of sculpture! How long have you been standing here?"

Sl: Luka, ki ni bil kip, ampak res človek, ki se je za trenutek zamislil ob pogledu na reko Ljubljanico, je presenečeno obrnil glavo proti Ani.
En: Luka, who was not a statue but a real person lost in thought while gazing at the Ljubljanica River, turned his head with surprise towards Ana.

Sl: "Nisem kip," je dejal in se nasmehnil, "ampak imam težave pri premikanju, kadar razmišljam o lepotah tega mesta."
En: "I'm not a statue," he said, smiling, "but I have trouble moving when I'm contemplating the beauty of this city."

Sl: Ana je ob teh besedah zardela. "Oprosti prosim," je hitro rekla, "nisem hotel biti nesramna. Samo zdelo se mi je, da si tako zelo mirno stal."
En: Embarrassed by her assumption, Ana quickly said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. It just seemed to me that you were standing so still."

Sl: Luka je odkimal z glavo in razložil, da je tudi on čakal prijatelja in se je za trenutek zazrl v pogled.
