It: Era una splendida giornata di sole a Roma e Marco era felice di poter visitare la città.
En: It was a beautiful sunny day in Rome and Marco was happy to be able to visit the city.
It: Si trovava nella bellissima Piazza Navona, circondato da fontane e sculture meravigliose.
En: It was located in the beautiful Piazza Navona, surrounded by wonderful fountains and sculptures.
It: Mentre camminava ammirando il panorama, decise di comprare un gelato delizioso a forma di cono.
En: While walking around admiring the view, he decided to buy a delicious ice cream cone.
It: Ma appena lo prese in mano, il gelato scivolò fuori dal cono e cadde sulla sua maglietta bianca.
En: But as he picked it up, the ice cream slid out of the cone and landed on his white T-shirt.
It: Marco cercò disperatamente di pulirsi, ma il gelato era già troppo appiccicoso.
En: Marco desperately tried to clean himself, but the ice cream was already too sticky.

En: Marco left the square, with his shirt dangling and his pants wet, defeated and humiliated.
It: Ma poi, quando tornò a casa, decise che la sua esperienza non era stata poi così brutta.
En: But then, when she got home, she decided her experience hadn’t been all that bad.
It: Aveva notato molte cose meravigliose sulla piazza e aveva anche imparato una lezione importante: mai arrendersi e non prendersi troppo sul serio.
