The Magician’s Magical Adventure

Story Transcript:
Es: La tarde era calurosa cuando la niña, llamada Ana, se adentró en el bosque.
En: The afternoon was hot when the girl, named Ana, went into the woods.

Es: Ana amaba explorar y encontrar cosas nuevas.
En: Ana loved to explore and find new things.

Es: Mientras caminaba, vio un extraño portal de metal, brillando en la luz del sol.
En: As he walked, he saw a strange metal portal, shining in the sunlight.

Es: “¡Qué interesante!”
En: “How interesting!”

Es: pensó Ana, mientras se acercaba para examinarlo de cerca.
En: Ana thought, as she moved closer to examine him closely.

Es: Antes de que pudiera tocarlo, apareció un hombre, con barba blanca y un largo abrigo violeta.
En: Before she could touch it, a man appeared, with a white beard and a long purple coat.

Es: “¡Hola, pequeña exploradora!
En: “Hello little explorer!

Es: Soy el mago amable, ¿quieres conocer algunos de mis dulces mágicos?”
En: I’m the friendly wizard, want to meet some of my magical candy?”

Es: Ana chasqueó sus manos, emocionada.
En: Ana clasped her hands, excited.

Es: Nunca había conocido a un mago antes y definitivamente no había probado dulces mágicos.
En: He had never met a magician before and definitely hadn’t tried magic candy.

Es: El mago sacó de su bolsillo un frasco lleno de dulces coloridos, pero no se los dio directamente.
En: The magician took from his pocket a jar full of colorful candies, but did not give them directly to him.

Es: En cambio, les hizo una pequeña danza antes de finalmente dárselos a Ana.
En: Instead, she did a little dance on them before finally giving them to Ana.

Es: Ana no podía creer la maravilla que estaba sintiendo, podía ver árboles hablar y mariposas bailar.
En: Ana couldn’t believe the wonder she was feeling, she could see trees talking and butterflies dancing.

Es: Sin embargo, con el tiempo, los efectos mágicos comenzaron a desvanecerse y Ana se dio cuenta de que tenía que volver a casa antes de que sus padres se preocuparan.
En: However, over time, the magical effects began to wear off and Ana realized that she had to get back home before her parents got worried.

En: But when he tried to turn back, he found himself in a completely different part of the forest, one he didn’t recognize.

En: While he was recovering from his confusion, the friendly wizard came walking up.

En: “Everything alright, little explorer?”

Es: preguntó el mago.

En: “I don’t know how to get back home,” Ana explained sadly.

En: The wizard smiled kindly and said, “Oh, don’t worry, I can help you.”

En: The magician recited a spell and suddenly, Ana was floating in the air with a bunch of colorful balloons.

En: He flew above the trees, seeing a beautiful landscape of the forest.

En: Then suddenly the magician disappeared, and Ana was really thrown into a muddy swamp.

En: But this time, the magician took out another bag of magical candies, saying, “Take these candies and they will take you out of the swamp.”

En: Ana accepted the bag, and in the blink of an eye she was back in her home.
